- Turn off the lights 2 hours before bedtime. Use lamps with soft globes instead of overhead lighting. This will signal to your body that sleep time is coming soon and help you wind down each evening. Try to get into the habit of sleeping with no light on and being woken up by natural light to help set your body clock.
- Have a cool bedroom. We fall asleep much faster in a colder bedroom, this is why it’s always so hard to fall asleep on those hot summer nights. A cold bedroom will help you get much better sleep.
- Try Strength Training. Building muscle during the day will help your body feel like sleeping at night to recover.
