
Eating a healthy lunch can provide the energy and nutrients needed to stay focused and productive throughout the workday AKA not get the shits with your workmates. Here are five healthy lunch ideas to try at the office:
- Salad with grilled chicken: Salads are a great way to get a variety of vegetables and nutrients in one meal. To make this lunch more satisfying, add some protein in the form of grilled chicken, salmon, or tofu. Top with a drizzle of olive oil and vinegar for a tasty and healthy dressing.
- Whole grain wrap with hummus and vegetables: Wholegrain wraps are a tasty and portable option for lunch. Fill them with hummus, chopped vegetables, and a protein source such as chickpeas or turkey.
- Quinoa and vegetable stir-fry: Quinoa is a nutrient-rich grain that is high in protein and fibre. Cook up a batch of quinoa at the beginning of the week and use it to make quick and healthy stir-fries for lunch. Add in a mix of vegetables, such as capsicum, carrots, and broccoli, and top with a low-sodium soy sauce for flavour.
