Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 20g collagen peptides
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (70% or higher)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 175°C.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, collagen, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another mixing bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, coconut sugar, applesauce, almond milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well until everything is combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and pour in the batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before removing it and letting it cool completely on a wire rack.
This recipe is a healthier version of traditional chocolate bread, using whole wheat flour and natural sweeteners instead of refined ones. Enjoy!
